Diana Malinda Stafford Carree was born October 2, 1950 in Winston-Salem, NC and departed this life on February 14, 2018. She was the oldest daughter born to Alfred and Beatrice Stafford.
She was a 1968 graduate of Atkins Senior High School, continued her education at Bennett College, and she retired from US Airways. She worked briefly in the RN-BSN department at WSSU.
She was a faithful member of United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of One Voice. She worked tirelessly with the children of Camp Delight and carried on the tradition of service in the church nursery established by her mother and aunt.
She leaves to cherish her life a son Christian Carree; two sisters, Wanda Stafford and Beth Stafford; a brother, Walter Agers (Delores); two nephews, Phillip Stafford and Ronald Agers (Kim); a loving aunt, Elizabeth Griffin; cousins, David Agers (Haley), Carol Griffin, and Christopher Griffin; special friends, Bobby and Bonnie Henderson, Betty Garvin, Johnny and Edna Sigers, Chuck Blackwell, Jr., and Shirley Bishop; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Gregory Headen officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Tuesday at the Church.
