Obituary
Mr. Dennis LaVon Haile was born May 6, 1960 in Forsyth County to Carol Sherrill and Bobby Key.
He departed this life on Friday, May 30, 2008.
Dennis was a 1979 graduate of West Forsyth High School and also attended Winston-Salem State University. He was formerly employed by R.J. Reynolds and was presently employed with Multi Packaging Solutions where he was a production supervisor. Dennis joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in 1998 where he was an active member at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis leaves a legacy of memories to his devoted wife of nine years, Cheryl Leak Haile; four sons, Brandon Ingram of Virginia Beach, VA, Dennis Haile, II. of Advance, NC, Franko Holifield and Jonathan Winton of the home; one daughter, Naajaya Leak of the home; his step-father, Willie (Corine) Thompson; five brothers, Donald Thompson and Reginald (Ilene) Bohannon of Winston-Salem, NC, Bobby Bacum of Virginia Beach, VA, Shavonno Key and Damon (Yukema) Key of Detroit, MI; six sisters, Melody Thompson, Bonita (Will) Lewis, Tandra (George) Wilson, Barbara (Joseph) White of Winston-Salem, NC, Veronica McKelvy of Detroit, MI, and Brenda (Raymond) Barbour of White Lake, MI; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Thursday, June 5, 2008 from Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1075 Shalimar Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with Reverend Dr. John Mendez officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12:30pm on Thursday at the Church.
