Denecia Lynn Dennis transitioned to her heavenly home on January 15, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Denecia was born to Argentina Dennis and Jesse Bitting on February 20, 1952. She attended the W-S/Forsyth County Schools, worked for the former Hyatt House Hotel and Wake Forest University, and was employed by Salem Health when her health declined.
From Denecia flowed the warmest, most loving, sweetest spirit. Even when her earthly body started to fail her, there was never a change in her spirit of her ability to warm the hearts of everyone around her.
Denecia was preceded in transition by her parents; and her niece, Deve' Little Smith.
She leaves cherished memories in the hearts of her brother, Alonzo Dennis of Rome, GA; aunt, Ella Kimber; uncle, Richard Carter of Kernersville, NC; cousins, Martha Gaither, Pam Phillips, Sonja Carter, Margaret (Larry) Cullins, Richard Carter, Jr., Zachery Carter, Enoch Carter, Herbert Carter, and Tony Carter all of the city, Vadis Fields of Cheraw, SC, and Sharon King of Chicago, IL; many extended family members; a very special friend and sister, Linda Legrant; her church family which she loved dearly; her friends at Azalea Terrace; and her faithful and loyal companion, her baby, Jazzie.
Homegoing services for Denecia will be held at 12noon Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Paul Apostolic Church, 1401 NE 25th St. W-S, NC.
