Mr. Demus Wilton Williams, Jr., affectionately known as "DeDe", 45, of 305 E. Devonshire Street W-S, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his home. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 27, 1970 to Mrs. Sharon Williams and Mr. Demus W. Williams, Sr. He attended the W-S/ Forsyth County Schools and was a member of Goler Memorial AME Zion Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Mr. Johnnie Senn; aunt, Betty Jean Senn; and his sister, Karin Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Paquana Williams of the city; five sons, DeAndre Weston of Charlotte, NC, Bobby Ziglar, Demus Ramsey, Tyrez Gainey, and Joseph Samuels all of the city; five daughters, Channel Reid, Detashe Harris, Demetris Williams, Celeste and Jazmin Ramsey all of the city; several grandchildren; his parents, Mrs. Sharon (Robert Johnson) of the home and Mr. Demus (Kay) of the city; six sisters, Patricia Williams of the city, Tawana Williams of Fayetteville, NC, Toni Evans of Boston, MA, Robin Dobson, Quawaitha White, and April Huggins all of the city; three brothers, Christopher Williams, Terry Evans, and Micheal Martin all of the city; his beloved grandmothers, Mrs. Janie Senn and Mrs. Ruth Wilson both of the city; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sharon McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Thursday at the Chapel.
