Obituary

Delores Jackson Wall was born March 17, 1943 to Estell J. Walters and George Jackson, Sr. She attended Atkins High School and continued her education at Carolina Business College.  She was outgoing, loved to sing, cook, and spend time with her family and friends.  Delores retired from RJ Reynolds where she worked for more than 30 years.

Delores was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and volunteered with many ministries as well as sharing her beautiful voice in the choir. Delores was an avid bowler and competed in several tournaments with her husband George in many cities across the United States.  She was also a regular volunteer with the Black Theatre Festival, Forsyth County Teen Court, President of The Neighborhood Watch, and a dedicated member of The Flower Club. Delores was always available when anyone in the community needed a helping hand.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Estell and George; her husband, George Washington Wall, Sr.; and two brothers, George Jackson, Jr. and Herbert Lee Walters.

Those left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy include her son, George Washington Wall, Jr.; daughter, Linda Colar Rascoe; brothers, Andrew Jackson (Geraldine), John Jackson, and Robert Lee Jackson; Kaye Lynn Powers, the mother of grandchildren: Brittney Terae Wall, Bridgette Nicole Wall, and Breanna Georgette Wall; grandchildren, Krista Joelle Carter and Ciara LaNese Carter; great-grandchildren,  Tyler Lamont Greer, Julian Andre Martin, Jr., and Mason Joseph Carter; in addition to  a host of aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Private services will be held Friday, July 24, 2020.
