Obituary

Delois Watson was born March 11, 1934 to Robert Duncan and Creola Turner. She passed away June 4, 2014. She was a native and lifelong resident of Winston Salem.

Delois Watson attended the W-S/FCS System and was employed for over 32 years at the W-S Transit Authority until her retirement. People that knew Mrs. Watson; know her as a person filled with personality who was not afraid to give you pieces of her mind. Mrs. Watson was a loving and charismatic person that will truly be missed.

She will be in the hearts of the lives that she has touched and will always be remembered in addition to her son, Richard Alexander; her daughter, Kim Palmer, and her sister, Gloria Duncan Hairston.

Left to survive her memory are her husband, Charles Watson; three daughters, Diane (Ronald) Baldwin, Darlene Duncan Williams, and Venessa Duncan-Perkins; son, Alfonzo (Stephonia) Duncan; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, James E. Turner; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
