Della Eve Bailey was born on September 4, 1956, to the late James and Inez Bailey in York, South Carolina. Della departed her life on August 27, 2026, at the age of 69.

Della earned her diploma from South Mecklenburg High School, and graduated from Montreat College.

Della was always smiling and had a laugh that caught the attention of all. She was loving and caring. Della will truly be missed by all. Her memories and heart felt words will remain in our hearts.

Della was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Daniela Henderson; her six brothers, Bobby Land, Sr., James Bailey, Jr., Rev. William Bailey, Charles Bailey, Jerry Bailey and Johnny Bailey; and three sisters, Betty Kennedy, Glenda Mason and Angela Bailey.

Della leaves to cherish her memory her loving grandchildren, Lathan and Zipporah Henderson; brother, Robert Bailey; a special nephew, Wallace Kennedy, III; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
