Mr. Dedrick Keshon Carpenter, 23, of 112 Midian Court, Winston-Salem, NC departed this life Sunday, April 13, 2008. He was born June 2, 1984 in Winston-Salem, NC to Diane Carpenter.
He was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Carpenter attended the local schools of Winston-Salem and was previously employed by the Nitty Gritty Café.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Juanita Carpenter; an aunt, Deborah Lynn Carpenter; and an uncle, Johnny Carpenter.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving son, Jaden Brown; his mother, Diane Carpenter; a sister, Shaunita Carpenter; a devoted twin brother, Kedrick Carpenter, all of Winston-Salem, NC; a devoted girlfriend, Rochelle Barnes; two uncles, Jimmy Carpenter of Winston-Salem, NC and Eric Carpenter of Charlotte, NC; three aunts, Louise Rowland, Catherine Carpenter, and Edna Torrence; a nephew and two nieces; a devoted cousin, Chris Leak; a play brother, Terry Law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Pamela Phillips officiating. Family visitation will be held from 3 pm until 3:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
