Debra Sue Jordan Sullivan, 58, was granted her angel wings on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. "Sue" as she was affectionately known as, was born in Siler City, NC on January 24, 1957. She was a member of Jordan Grove AME Zion Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of the Gospel Choir, and former kitchen committee member.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Sullivan of the home; sons, MSgt USMC Darrick Jordan (Christine) of Jacksonville, NC and Thomas Sullivan, Jr. of Winston Salem, NC; four grandchildren, Olivia, Darrick, Jr., Jaelyn, and Mariah; sisters, Quimillar Harris, Phyllis Hill, Linda Paige, Marilyn Foushee (Roy), and Kathleen Robinson of Forestville, MD; two brothers, Dwaine Jordan (Gayle) of Liberty, NC and David Jordan (Rev. Iris) of Sanford, NC; Godchildren, LeTeya Matthews, Derrick Richmond, Jr., and Joshua Brooks; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Brown and Emma Bray both of Winston Salem, NC; one brother-in-law, Rudolph (Lois) Sullivan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Friday, December 11, 2015 at Jordan Grove AME Zion Church, 3106 W. 3rd Street Siler City, NC 27344 with Dr. Alfred Ferguson officiating and Reverend Ronnie Brooks eulogist. The family will greet friends from 2:00pm until 2:30pm on Friday at the Church.
