Ms. Deborah Kaye Dendy passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2012.
Ms. Dendy was born in Winston-Salem on June 12, 1954.
She attended the local area schools and graduated from Forsyth Tech with a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. She was employed at Grady Memorial Hospital for 12 years and other medical facilities in the Atlanta, GA area. She returned to Winston-Salem 5 years ago and since returning home, she worked briefly for IHOP until her health began to fail.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories a loving and very dedicated mother, Geneva Dendy; a dedicated son, Jamar Denard Dendy of Chesapeake, VA; three sisters, Elder Waltena Robinson, Pamela Dendy, and Janella Jones of MD; one loving brother, James Dendy; two nieces, Erika Simon and Samela Dendy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Clara Cremedy officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
