Debborah Marlene Truesdell Lindsay gained her wings on Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was born on December 20, 1957 in Richmond, VA to the late Fred Lee Truesdell and Mildred Walls Truesdell.

Debborah spent her formative years at Catholic school at St. Benedict the Moor and Bishop McGuinness and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1976. Debborah attended Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and graduated from The North Carolina A&T State University in 1981. Debborah worked for many years in the Guilford County Schools and in the Forsyth County Department of Social Services in the Adult In-Home Services Unit. Debborah was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She took part in many ministries including, Couples Ministries, The RL Hunt Inspirational Choir, the Contemporary Choir, United Women in Faith, The Food Pantry, and the Mass Choir.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Davis.

Debborah leaves behind a loving husband of 35 years, Allen Wayne; her 2 children, Allen Lindsay, Jr. (Hope) of Winston-Salem and Allanna Lindsay-Davis; her only grandson, Kevin Davis, Jr.; her sister, Shari Truesdell Walker (James) of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces and nephews, Janski Bradsher, Andrew Bradsher, Brianna Fancy (Romone) of Raleigh, NC, Jamel Lindsay (Beth) of Gardiner, Maine, Sean Lindsay, Kimberly Lindsay, LaKesha Lindsay, and Darnell Lindsay; great-nieces, Reyna Fancy and Leah Lindsay; great-nephews, Cam and Eli Lindsay; cousin, Chris Moore; and many other friends and family who loved and cherished her.

Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm Friday, August 28, 2026 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2400 Dellabrook Road Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 12:30pm on Friday at the Church.
