Dayquain Isaiah Lamont Blackwell, "DayDay", departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, August 17, 2017.  He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 22, 2000 to Sandra Blackwell and Michael Whorley. He attended Carver High School. "DayDay" was the life of his family and had a love for sports.  He touched many hearts with his playful personality.  He will be missed by all who loved him.

He leaves to cherish most dear and precious memories his mother, Sandra Blackwell; father, Michael Whorley; sisters, Letara Whorley, Lanaudia Crawford, and Aaleeya Crawford; brothers, Rayquain Blackwell, Jaylen Crawford and Ronnie Crawford; maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Paula Blackwell; paternal grandparent, Vanessa Whorley; maternal great-grandmother, Jackie Hunt-Nunn; paternal great-grandmother, Mabel Blackwell; maternal great-grandfather, Thurmond Witherspoon; aunts, Shanika Blackwell, Tameka Blackwell, Shara Whorley, and Shaneil Whorley; God-mother, Jerita Joyner;  several aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends all of Winston-Salem, NC.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, 822 Carl Russell Avenue W-S, NC.  The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
