David Lee Jackson, 81, of Kissimmee, FL, was called to the Lord on December 23, 2020. He was born on August 3, 1939 to Eliza Jackson and Mary Frell-Jackson.
David graduated from Atkins High School in W-S, NC. He attended The University of Maryland, Military Studies in various parts of the United States while serving in the Military, 121 Credits and Delaware State University, Delaware, approximately 80 plus Credits.
David pastored at Pentecostal Assembly of Churches of Jesus Christ, Inc., in Havre-de-Grace for Community Church of Christ in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for over 30 years, Frankfurt, Germany at the Goodluc Karsern, and The Hinesville Church in Macon, Georgia.
David Lee Jackson, United States Army (Retired) served 20 years as well as Civil Service and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center for 10 plus years. He was a Contract Worker, NIH, in Silver Springs, Maryland and a Contract Worker, under the Clinical Research Management Team in Hinckley, Ohio.
David was known as "Staff Sergeant", "Elder Jackson", "Brother Jackson", and the Lord Jesus Christ personally ordained him as a "Prophet--Prophet David Lee Jackson".
He had the following business ventures: he started Global Biological Laboratories, Inc. in Dover, Delaware (Felton, Delaware), Janie's Floral Designs in Dover, Delaware and Maryland, and S. Jackson Enterprise and Transportation, LLC in Kissimmee, Florida. He was also an inventor and patented the JADAC DEVICE (usage for medical purposes), HONEY BAND AID (usage for wounds) at Fort Detrick, Maryland, Department of the Army, under the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. David wrote many poems such as: An Encounter with the Almighty, which will be read aloud at his funeral. He earned many certificates including, Biological Personnel Reliability Training, October 28, 2005, Vivarium Design for Working with Infectious Diseases, November 6, 2005, Designing Your Animal Facility: Planning, Systems, Details, and Trends, November 10, 2005, and ILC Dover Chemturion Encapsulating Suit for Protection in a Biosafety, February 3, 2003, just to name a few.
David loved his family and took his responsibilities to them very seriously. He was definitely a provider for them. He raised his children in Church and taught them to obey God's Word as well as the Law of the Land.
David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janie C. Jackson; children, Sandra Denise Jackson, Donald Alexander Jackson, David Lee Jackson III, Michael Raul Jackson, Dreama LaVette Jackson-McCoy and Shumar Jackson; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, January 4, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.
Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2020. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
