Obituary

In Loving Memory of David Davenport Jr.

Today, we honor the life and precious memory of our beloved son, David “JUICE” Davenport, Jr., who was born on October 8, 2021 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and entered into eternal rest far too soon at the tender age of four.

David had a special love for dinosaurs and could often be found creating grand adventures with his favorite prehistoric friends. He filled every room with his bright smile, sweet spirit, contagious laughter, and endless love. His gentle heart and joyful personality touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Although his years were few, the impact he made on the hearts of his family, friends, teachers, and all who met him was immeasurable.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Jasmine and David Davenport; his devoted sisters, Ki'ala Wilson, Zaniyah McMillian, Airyahn Davenport, and Masiyah McMillian; his beloved niece, Jae'lanni Maysonet; his grandparents; extended family; and countless friends and teachers who will forever cherish the precious memories they shared with him.

While we mourn the loss of his physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that his beautiful spirit will live on in every heart he touched. His story may have been short, but the love he shared and the memories he created will last a lifetime.

"Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us."

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our sweet, loving boy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, June 29, 2026 at New Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation and viewing will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
