Mr. David Lee Covington, 68, of 1005 Wachovia St. was born June 8, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC. He entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his MOTHERS, Sarah Ray Covington and Mary E. Covington; and a sister, Mary Covington Caison.
He is survived by his father, Joseph H. Covington, Sr.; three brothers, Joseph H. (Erma) Covington Jr. of Rural Hall, NC, Archie (Helen) Covington of Arcadia, NC, and Terry D. Covington of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Barbara C. (Solomon) Green of Winston-Salem, NC; devoted niece, Sharal (David) Duncan, Jr.; godsons, Robert Foster and Christopher Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon at the Chapel.
