Darlene Denise Williams was born February 13, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC to Joseph and Juanita Williams. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
"Doll" attended school in the WSFCS System and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her mother, Juanita Williams; three sons, Anthony, Carlos (Keyra), and Gerrod Williams; two daughters, Kenyetta and Latasha Williams; four grandchildren, Amiya, Tae'ana, Carrlon, and Phyllis all of the city; one sister, Cynthia (Kevin) McDowell; one brother, Joseph (Ann) Williams; three devoted aunts, Gloria Venable and Mary (Ronald) Ingram of the city and Evelyn (Bruce) Small of Mount Vernon, NY; two uncles, Ben (Helen) and Nathaniel (Annie); three devoted cousins, Catherine Ingram, Diane Braxton, and Joyce Hackett; nieces, April and Alisha McDowell, Timeka Abbot, and Artriva Brock; nephew, Charles Abbot and family; cousins, Hackett, Braxton, Ingram, Cuthbertson, Harris, Brown, Jefferson, Palmer, Young, Phillips, Campbell, Belin, West, and Brock Families; extended family members, Jenkins, Jordan, Daniel, Abbott, Venable, Williams, James, Glenn, Williams, Coleman, Moir, Rose, McDowell, Mack, and Smith Families; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, September 9, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Mary Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
