Mrs. Daisy Burt, 103 was born August 10, 1908 to the late William and Almira Banks in Raleigh, NC. She departed this life 10 days short of her 104th birthday on July 31, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. This will be a celebration of her birthday and homegoing.
She had an elementary education in Raleigh, NC and an adult education at Forsyth Technical Community College. She was a homemaker to her four sons. Mrs. Burt was a faithful, hardworking member of Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church for 49 years or more.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alfonzo Burt.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Percy Burt, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Robert (Sylvia) Burt of Summerfield, NC, and Leander Burt of W-S, NC; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, August 10, 2012 at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Godwin Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
