Mr. Curtis Edward Palmer passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Forsyth County, February 21, 1949 to Gladys H. Palmer and Albert Palmer.
A North Forsyth High School graduate and WSSU honor alumnus, Mr. Palmer's work history included vocations with IBM, Sara Lee, and most recently American Republic Insurance Company where he served as an agent. He also served as an English instructor in Japan for two years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Palmer; two brothers, Melvin B. and Lindy C.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys H. Palmer; one sister, Gloria P. Roseboro; two brothers, Ira L. and Albert, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Beetie S. Palmer; three nephews, Darrell P. Roseboro, Melvin B. Palmer, Jr., and Terry Lee Palmer; an aunt, Oreatha H. Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends. "Sunset, evening star, and one last call for me; and may their be no mourning at the bar when I put out to sea."
