Curtis Lee McCollum, 48, of Winston-Salem, N.C., died May 28, 2018
Curtis was born September 2, 1969, in Winston-Salem, N.C., to Glenda McCollum and Stevan Tillman.
He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1988 and enlisted into the US Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps he extended his education by studying at Winston-Salem State University and Forsyth Tech.
He was a member of Kimberly Park Holiness Church. He loved baseball, the sport he has enjoyed since childhood. He worked for Classic Cab Company where he was a dedicated and dependable employee for 15 years. He was loved by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Glenda McCollum and father Stevan Tillman.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Brittany King of Winston-Salem; sisters and brother-in-law Angela (Kelvin) Gladden of Harker Heights, TX, Trivenna Gillis of Winston-Salem; Big brother, Calvin Handy of Winston-Salem; and a host of nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, including a special friend; Corey Wilson of Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 2:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
