Crystal Renee Faith Robinson, 11, known to family and friends as "Phats" departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2010. She was born on December 18, 1998 in Winston-Salem, NC and was raised by her adoptive parents, Howard and Thelma Robinson from birth. Crystal attended Petree Elementary School where she was known for her infectious smile and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her.
Crystal is survived by her parents, Howard and Thelma Robinson and Chris and Star; nine sisters, Belinda (Anthony) Robinson, Brenda (Calvin) Penn, Elaine (Antonio) Scales, Janet (Buck) Price, Latoya Robinson, Jasmine Robinson, Jessica Robinson, Tyanna Robinson, and Cameron; five brothers, Howard Roberson, Jr., Paul Gray, Brian Robinson, A.J., and Javon Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Daniel Barr officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to their friends, Bishop Thomas and Sister Thomas, Bishop Barr and Sister Barr, and a best friend, Sister Lydia Davis for all the prayers given to our loved one.
