Crystal Denise McMahan, 57, was born to Christopher Polite and Marcelene McMahan Miller (Robert Sr.) on March 12, 1958 and she entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 21, 2015.

She was a graduate of South Park High School in Winston-Salem, was employed for 17 years at Hanes Mall as a Food Court Shift Supervisor, and she fellowshipped with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Dwight Hash. She was a lover of animals and a collector of dolls.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; a daughter, Stephanie Shields; and a sister, Carlene McMahan.

She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy to her children, Trace McMahan-Jeffries (Stephen), Chris McMahan, and LaTosha Gill; grandchildren who will forever remember Nanna's love and playfulness, Calvin Gill, Zebadiah Gill, Barack McMahan-Norris, and Kymberlee Gill; her loving siblings, Chris Polite(Shelia), Amos McMahan, Robin Miller, Robert Miller Jr., Marcus Miller, Sandra Polite-Parks (Edward) of Baltimore, MD, and Christine Polite-Small of Cary, NC; loving nephews, Marquis McMahan and Shemar Miller all of whom will remember their special bond of love; her lifelong special companion, Joseph Davis; and a host of uncles, aunts, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins who will rejoice and reflect in her loving memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Chapel.
