The late Joyce Marilyn Frasier gave birth to Craig Donahue Backman on February 13, 1962 in the Bronx, NY. He attended Shaw University in Raleigh, NC and later transferred and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from NC A&T State University. He was employed with Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center for many years as a Senior Systems Analyst. He was also heavily involved in the United Way Annual Campaign.
On Thursday, December 23, 2010 Craig Backman answered his Master's call. His soul took flight across Heaven's stream where he crossed over into peace and tranquility.
Craig's memories are cherished by his loving and dedicated wife, Kim Backman; his three children, Tristan Backman of Philadelphia, PA, Devin Backman and Bria Backman of Advance, NC; his father, Sidney Backman (Helen); three brothers, Sidney Backman (Sandra) of Tinton Falls, NJ, Andre Backman (Maria) of Bronx, NY, and Brian Backman of Connecticut; and a host of other relatives, coworkers, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Agape Faith Church, Clemmons, NC with Pastor J.B. Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
