Clydia Mae Streeter Mitchell was born on November 15, 1937 in Chester, South Carolina.

Clydia will be forever remembered by her husband of thirty years, Eugene Mitchell; her daughter, Cheryl Harry (Miles); along with her grandsons, Micah and Marcus Harry; she leaves to cherish beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, Helen Thomas (deceased), Shirley Fulp (Richard) of W-S, Harry Mitchell (Mary) of Hurt, VA, Edith McLaurin (Larry-deceased) of W-S, Pastor John Mitchell (Carolyn) of Pfafftown, NC, Patricia Mitchell of W-S, Rhondy Wayne Mitchell (Anselyne) of Wilmington, NC, Kenneth Mitchell (Cynthia) of W-S, Paul Mitchell of Burgaw, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Mack and Clyde Streeter; her brother, Robert Streeter; and sister, Anne Harding (Richard).

Clydia's life is best described in two words, "Zestful Joy."  She lived her life with enthusiasm and with an abundance of JOY.  Whether it was being a Christian, a Wife, a Mom, a Grandmother, a Care Giver, a Cook, a Family Member, of a Friend, she did it All with Great, Great JOY.  And her JOY was shared with the people she encountered in LIFE.

She was known for "top shelf" cookery, cakes, and pies.  Sharing the Gospel and Kingdom building was her zeal and passion.  Her favorite scripture was Proverbs 3:5,6.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Friday, April 29, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Union Baptist Church with Bishop Sir Walter Mack, Jr. officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.  Interment will be held at 10:00am Monday, May 9, 2022 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
