Clinton Brown, Sr. departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on November 3, 2020. Clinton was born on July 5, 1936 in Allendale, South Carolina to the late Mary Williams. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Williams, sisters: Mary Elmore, Alberta Williams and Ollie Mae Hamilton; granddaughter, Latonya Robinson; and nephews, William Brown and Jessie Williams.

Clinton retired from the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools after many years of service. He was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory and life, wife, Arnella Brown; daughters, Sandra (Lewis) Robinson of Richmond, Virginia, Sharon Brown and Deon (William) Scott of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sons, Clinton (Jackie) Robinson of East Stroudburg, Pennsylvania and Clinton Brown Jr. of Winston Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren, Bridgette (Tyrone) Washington, Lea Siddle, Justin Montgomery, Taylor Montgomery of Winston Salem, North Carolina, NaTasha and Lauren Robinson of Richmond, Virginia, Latisha Robinson, Etyna (Stephan) Robinson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Clinton (Tiffany) Robinson, Jr., Artemus Robinson, and Marquise Robinson all of East Stroudburg, Pennsylvania and Chastity (Michael) Robinson of Portsmouth, Virginia; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces, Patricia Garner of Estill, South Carolina, and Dena Hamilton of Garden City, Georgia; nephews, James Williams, Johnnie Williams and Sam Williams of Estill, South Carolina; great nephews, Cedric (Anglee) Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rakeem Hamilton of Charleston, South Carolina, Rashad Hamilton of Charleston, South Carolina; Doris Brown of Winston Salem, North Carolina; In-laws, Elwillie Jarrett and Joanne Rollinson of Winston Salem, North Carolina, JW (Audrey) Byrd of Eden, North Carolina and a host of relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, November 9, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
