Mr. Claude Denard Thomas, Jr, 42, otherwise known as "Chip", "Blackolious", & "Jr.", went home to be with the Lord, August 18, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born May 21, 1975 in Winston-Salem, NC to Claude Denard Thomas, Sr. and Marilyn Taylor Thomas.

Claude Jr. attended Carver High School where he was a member of the band.  He truly loved football, basketball, his family and his church. He was an accomplished drummer and played faithfully for Genesis Victory Outreach Center for most of his life until his illness. Claude Jr. could be best described as a "Clown" or the "Life of the Party" and his goal was to make as many people laugh as possible.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Denard Thomas, Sr.; and his son, Claude Denard Thomas, III, otherwise known as "Tre".

Claude Jr. has left to cherish his memories his wife, Demitersa Thomas; daughter, Camaya D. Thomas; his mother, Marilyn Taylor Thomas; one sister, Tori (Corey) Thomas; one brother, Isaiah (Christina) Thomas; and a host of other close relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Genesis Victory Outreach Center, 1882 Old Hollow Rd. Walkertown, NC 27051 with Bishop Tyrone Green of Lexington, NC officiating.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and is truly grateful to friends and family members who have remained close and given many hours of gracious love in these last few years.
