Clarence Henry Williams, most often known as "PI", was born December 1, 1927 in Winston-Salem, NC. He passed away November 13, 2014. He was the seventh of eight children born to Charlie and Daisy Henry Williams. The family lived for forty plus years at 808 Highland Avenue. When Urban Renewal demolished the many homes in East Winston, the family moved to 2419 Patterson Avenue.
His surviving family includes eleven nephews and their families, especially Melvin Witherspoon and Chalmers Williams; six nieces and their families; nine cousins and their families, especially Annette Scippio; and special friends, Virginia Thomas and James Dixon.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Chad R. Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Wednesday at the Church.
