Obituary
Mr. Clarence "Pete" Ashe, Jr. passed away on August 12, 2008 at the age of 65 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center after a four month stay in the ICU Unit 5A.
He was born July 1, 1943.
Pete was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mount Sion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, his grandmother; and foster mother.
Surviving are his wife, Pat Ashe of Winston-Salem, NC; four children, Scheirich Ashe, Michelle Wright , Michael Ashe and Rhonda Ashe all of the city; he was the proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his foster father, AJ Wilson; six foster brothers; three foster sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, August 16, 2008 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
The family of Pete Ashe would like to give eternal thanks to all the staff at 5A ICU at WFU/ Baptist Medical Center during his time of illness.
