Clara McCracken Pellam, 86, beloved daughter, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend to many, passed away August 12, 2017, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born to the late Christopher McCracken and Lillie Grey McCracken of Newberry, SC. Clara was co-owner of the family businesses, Willie's Confectionary and Catering Services and retired after 21 years of service as a Dietitian at Kimberly Park Child Care Center. She was a devoted member and Deaconess of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years of marriage, Reverend Willie James Pellam; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by 3 children, Donnie Pellam, Jenny (Don) Galloway, and Cynthia (Whayman) Bruton; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, August 19, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 New Hope Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
