Christine Mabry was born May 6, 1936 in Maxton, NC. She passed away January 13, 2026. She received her formal education at the local Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Schools. She was employed at RJ Reynolds

Tobacco Company for 17 years. Christine was married to Charles Mabry for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Jennie Bell Gilchrist; her sister, Lizzie Southerland; and brothers, Leroy, Frank, Ervin, Archie, Martin, Hector and Lenwood Gilchrist.

Christine is survived by five children, Charles Mabry, Jr., Linda Mabry, Beverly Mabry, Patrick Mabry, and Monzant Te'Lazion; grandchildren, Jonathan (April) Mabry, Tameka McLean, Charles T. Mabry, III, Santanna Mabry and Arttaveous Mabry; great grandchildren, Makenzie Mabry of the home, Christopher Mabry, Savannah Mabry, Acoye Brooks, Tashari McLean and Travaris Simon; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many dear friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, January 23, 2026 at Russell Funeral Home.

FUNERAL SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Friday, January 30, 2026 at Praise Assembly Church Ministries. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00pm on Friday at the Church.
