Cheryl Denise Scales, daughter of the late Bernard Scales, Sr. and Doris Young McMurray, was born April 6, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC.  She departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.  Cheryl attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Winston-Salem State University.

A public viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Monday, April 5, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
