Cheryl Anise Bethea was born March 22, 1971 to Cornelius Bethea Sr. and Curley Yvvone Scales Bethea in W-S, NC. She departed this life on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Ms. Bethea was a 1990 graduate of North Forsyth High and a 2011 graduate of WSSU were she earned her Bachelor Degree with Honors in Sociology. She was employed by Wells Fargo and Easter Seals for many years. Ms. Bethea was a faithful member at Mt. Calvary Holy Church where she had been active in the youth ministry and hospitality team for more than 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Curley Scales Bethea; her brother, Christopher Bethea; her father that raised her, Early Lunn; and her sister, Ethel Scott.

She leaves behind to cherish her son, John Moore; daughter, Jazmine Moore; grandson, Garren Lloyd Jr. all of the home; her father, Cornelius Bethea, Sr. of NY; her mother that raised her, Earlene Lunn of W-S, NC; her siblings, Avalena Artis (Frank), Beverly S. Garner, Cassandra Bethea Shine(Ricky), and Clifton Lunn all of W-S, NC, Althea B. Meade of PA, Patricia Thompson of SC, Cornelius Bethea, Jr., Cedric Bethea, Cornell Bethea, and Cecille Bethea all of NY, and Camille Bethea of CT; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends along with two special devoted friends, Jamall Owens and Melissa Crockett.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Holy Church with Bishop Tejado Hanchell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
