Mr. Charlie James Seat was born August 4, 1945. He departed this earthly life on January 2, 2016.

Charlie gained his foundations in Mars Hill Baptist Church and was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. He also attended Church on the Rock where his brother, Reverend Moses Seat was the pastor. He was known for being a man that was somewhat of a joker who enjoyed his life. He was lifelong resident of Piedmont Circle and was well known in the community.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his fiancé', Stella Martin; one daughter, Charlene Seat; two sisters, Christening Pretty and Queen Seat; brother, Reverend Moses Seat; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Samuel P.L. Hickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
