Charlie Mae Crutchfield was called home to glory at the age of 86 years old on December 9, 2010. She was born in Albany, GA to Todd and Lavenia Parks. At the age of five she moved to Steubenville, Ohio until the age of seventeen. She then moved to Pittsburg, PA where she met and married Leandrew Crutchfield and they were married for forty years until his death. She moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 2006.
She leaves to mourn her death eight children, Donna (Leonard) Simpson of Winston-Salem, NC, Cynthia (Roy) Jenkins, Fredrick, Sylvia, Terri, and Michael Crutchfield all of Pittsburgh, PA, Paula Crutchfield of Atlantic City, NJ, and James (Lisa) Crutchfield of Chula Vista, CA; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; a God-given child, Mrs. Barbara (Cornelius) Page and family of Lewisville, NC; and a host of dear friends in Pittsburgh, PA and Winston-Salem, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, December 13, 2010 at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Sir Walter Mack, Jr. officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
