Early on the morning of April 7, 2008 our Father called for another soul to come home. Charles Eugene Robinson was born December 1, 1953 . His high school mates called him "Glad."
He resided in Roanoke , VA for a number of years where he made his career at Grand Home Furnishings. Charles was born and raised in Winston-Salem , NC where he attended the Forsyth County Schools and Winston-Salem State University .
He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie Robinson Hayes; his father, Dave Davenport; three sisters, Cheryl Robinson, Vanessa Robinson, and Gwendolyn Stewart.
He leaves to cherish five sisters, Angela Moser (Minister Sylvester) of Rural Hall, NC, Nannetta (Milton) Fulton, Dawn Renae (Bernard) Hairston of Winston-Salem, NC, Pamela (Willis) Gross of Romulus, MI, and Natalie Hayes of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Nathaniel (Virginia) Hayes of Salt Lake City, UT and Brian Robinson of Gastonia, NC; two dedicated friends and caretakers whom we give special thanks to, William "Bill" Offerman and Adrian Wade of Roanoke, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews are also left to cherish his memories.
Homegoing services will be held at 2 pm Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery . Family visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
