Charles Edward Mock was born December 26, 1941 to the late Ashe and Arie Mae Mock. He was the youngest of six siblings. Charles, affectionately known by family and friends as "Punchie", attended the public schools of North Carolina.

He was employed 30 years at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. After his retirement, Charles loved his family and loved being with them on the weekends for dinners and cookouts. His nephew, Grady, would always make sure he had plenty to eat; they enjoyed spending a lot of quality time together. Punchie would tell you jokes, have you laughing until you would literally be crying, while keeping a straight face himself like it was so serious.

In the last year, Charles' health began to fail him which slowed his down quite a bit. On Thursday, February 6, 2015 Charles was called home by his heavenly father.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Keith Mock; his sister, Doretha; and his brother, Alfonzo.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his three brothers, Ashe Mock, Jr. and James Mock both of Winston-Salem, NC and Johnny (Annette) Mock of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends including his BFF, Fred.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Clyburn officiating. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Friday at the Chapel.
