Charles Robert Mitchell, 92, departed from this life on Saturday May 13, 2017 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth N. Mitchell in October 2016.

He is survived by his dedicated sister-in-law, Edmonia Fisher; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Charles was a World War II veteran and a devoted church usher for many decades. He will be lovingly missed.

A Homegoing Celebration service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Middlefork Christian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
