Mr. Charles R. Hubbard Jr. of Salem Lake Rd. passed from this life on 10-14-2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born 11-25-1922 In Blakely, GA to the late Charles Richard Hubbard, Sr. and Edna Moseley Hubbard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only sister, Doris Hubbard.

He served in the United States Army for 4 years and retired from Western Electric in Newark, NJ in 1984 and moved to Winston-Salem, NC.  He was a faithful member of St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center until his health declined.  In 1951 he married the love of his life, Addie "Nana" Walker Hubbard.  Although they did not have any natural children, he leaves to mourn an array of church members who affectionately called him, "Dad Hubbard"; two members that he truly thought of as the daughters he never had, Noah Ramseur and Charity Lewis; as well as a son, Victor Coward.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center with Bishop JC Hash, Sr. officiating.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
