Charles Lee "Chuck" McNeely, 71, passed away Friday April 28, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

He was born May 11, 1945 in Winston Salem, NC to Charles Lee Brown and Queen Ester McNeely.  He was married to Lucretia "Trish Ann" Witherspoon McNeely for 43 years.  Chuck was educated in the Forsyth County School System and graduated from Paisley High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church on Highland Ave. in Winston Salem where he sang in the Men's Choirs.  He was an avid bowler and a member of several Bowling leagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucretia; his sisters, Mae Pearl & Martha; brother, James; and grandson, Chris, Jr.

He is survived by one sister, Evelena Clayborn of W-S, NC; one son, Christopher (Tammie) Bailey and a grandson, Jay of Tampa, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and dear friends.

Homegoing Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday May 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 700 Highland Ave. Winston-Salem, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Church. Interment will be held at 10:00am Friday, May 5, 2017 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
