Charles Sherrill Barker, 71, began his life on June 19, 1949 and peacefully transitioned from life to eternity on Friday, February 4, 2022 after an extended illness.

Charles was an amazing chef by trade.  He loved to cook and made it his mission to take care of everyone around him.  Charles was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War.  He was known for his ardent passion for cars, his uncanny sense of humor, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Charles leaves to cherish his fondest memories his loving and devoted wife, Mary Barker; his adoring mother, Ruth Dalton; his three sons; and a host of family and friends who will forever be positively impacted by his life.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, February 14, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.  Private services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
