Elder Catherine Wilson France was born on May 15, 1930 in Winston-Salem to the late Rosebud and Odella Wilson. She was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018.

She was a graduate of Atkins High School and The Star Stenographic School of Business. Elder France retired from Wake Forest University Library after 43 years of service. She was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Holy Church, where she served in various capacities for her entire life.

Elder France was preceded in death by her parents, Rosebud and Odella Wilson; and a sister, Annie M. Worley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Billy Gray France; one daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Wilson Floyd of Ohio; one sister, Rosa Lee Wilson of Winston-Salem; one brother, Rosebud (Peggy) Wilson of Winston-Salem; one granddaughter, Bobbi (Harold) Townes of Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
