On Sunday, April 27, 2014 Carroll Adams McRae passed peacefully into eternal rest with her family by her side.  She was born in Forsyth County to the late William and Ruth Pelham Adams.

Mrs. McRae was educated in the Forsyth County public school system.  Upon graduating high school she completed studies and received her Medical Unit Secretary certificate.  She began further studies at Winston-Salem State University.  Mrs. McRae was employed with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a Medical Unit Secretary and Nursing Assistant, but most importantly she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to all she came in contact with.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McRae was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Harris; and four of her siblings.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband, Lonnie McRae; four daughters, Kristen (Anthony) Tucker, Kelly (Anthony) Kellum, Kimberly (Donnell) Allen, and Karen Cole; one sister, Wilma Martin; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

The homegoing celebration will be held at 1pm Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rochelle Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Friday at the Chapel.
