Carrie Blakley was born on April 12, 1962 in Winston-Salem, NC to Jesse Blakley and Margratha Forrest.  She departed this life on July 13, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center.

Carrie was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, NC where she attended and graduated from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.

Carrie was a loving and doting aunt.  She enjoyed spending time and spoiling her nieces and nephews.  She was an avid crossword fanatic.  She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and concern for others.

In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her sister, Margratha  Blakley.

She is survived by her sisters, Charlene Blakley of Rural Hall, NC, Venetia Shelf, Terri Blakley, and Tammy Blakley all of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Charles Blakley of Fargo, North Dakota and John Blakley of Winston-Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins whom she loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, July 19, 2019 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held at 11:15am at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
