God has called home one of his angels on Thursday, March 22, 2007 after a long period of illness. Carolyn Elaine Griffin, known to many as "CALEDONIA", was born on January 22, 1950 to Eulace Rodman and Pauline Blair Rodman. She was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, NC and was educated in the public schools.
Ms. Griffin later went on to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting from Rutledge College in 1982 and a Certificate as a Hospital Unit Secretary at Miller-Motte Business College, graduating with high honors in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eulace Rodman.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother, Pauline Rodman; three daughters, Tonya D. Brown, Shayla Brown, and Lakis (Perry) Crawford of the home; one son, Dwayne Brown; eight brothers and sisters, Brenda (Bobby) Braham, Leroy (Mary) Blair, Reginald (Ari) Rodman, Sharon (Ronald) Young, Herbert Rodman, Denise (Gerald) Hill, Keith (Patricia) Rodman, and Virgil Rodman; six grandchildren, Dwayne R., Bryant, and Juan Brown, and Patricia, Chris, and Tiffany Crawford of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, her caregiver and special friend, Debra Snipes; and other dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 NOON until 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Chapel.
