Carolyn Olivia Clark, daughter of the late Earl Edwin Clark Sr. and Ethel Lee Clark was born July 18, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. She was one of six children born of their union. Carolyn graduated from the Art & Design high school in Manhattan where she studied art.

Carolyn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bronx, N.Y. She worked at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital as an O.R. Technician.  She retired after 41 years of service and moved to Kernersville NC in August 2008 to be close to her daughter and family. She joined Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC on April 4, 2010; alongside her daughter, Denise Porter; son-in-law, Jonathan Porter; and two grandchildren, Justin and Desiree Porter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dolores Davis and Phyllis Nolan; and two brothers, Earl E. Clark Jr. and Thomas Clark. Our lord and savior Jesus Christ called Carolyn home on February 21, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories her only child, Denise Porter; son-in-law, Jonathan Porter; three grandchildren, Jamel, Justin, and Desiree Porter; brother, William A Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Leach, Sr. officiating.  The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
