Ms. Carolyn Jeanette Amos, daughter of John Dillard Spencer Amos and Sarah Lue King Amos was born in Winston-Salem, NC on March 16, 1942.  She departed this life on November 19, 2024.

She was a product of the Lancaster County Public Schools of Virginia.  Carolyn graduated as Valedictorian of her class.

Most of her professional career was spent as a Medical Unit Secretary with Forsyth Medical Center and the Novant Healthcare System.  Carolyn served in this position for over 33 years.

During her younger and healthier years, she enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Katherine Amos, Sarah Amos Ephraim, Josephine Amos Caldwell, and Barbara Jean Amos McRae; and brothers, David, Samuel, and William Amos.

She is survived by two sisters, Viola Amos Ward and Gwendolyn Amos Cole both of Winston-Salem, NC; devoted nephew, David A. Ross; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:00am until 10:30am on Saturday at the Chapel.
