Mr. Carlos Leon Washington Rice was born on February 26, 2002 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Pearl Washington and Carlos Rice. On April 30, 2023 he unexpectedly departed from this life and transitioned to his heavenly resting place.

Carlos was a beautiful soul that was loving and generous to everyone he encountered. He was a graduate of Reynolds High School (Class of 2020) with plans to further his education.

Carlos was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Anne Washington and Harry Scott; uncle, Carlton Binns; aunts, Beatrice Rice and Tiffany Scott; and cousins, Allen Binns, Carlton Binns, Jr., and Montaye Rice.

Carlos leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted father, Carlos Rice and mother, Pearl Washington; loving sister, Carla Rice; grandmother, Margie Rice; a host of aunts, Antionette Rice, Catherine Rice, Keyia Scott, Kenya Brown, Denise Binns, and Yvette Binns; a host of uncles, Darryl Rice and Larry Binns; loving cousins, BJ Rice, Felicia Rice, Ceharee Rice, Shawn Rice, Chablis Rice, Marquesha Rice, Landis Brown, Amy Binns, Brian Binns, Nicole Standback, Joshua Standback and June Phifer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Sunday at the Chapel.
