Obituary
Mr. Carl Lee Shepherd, Sr. was born July 19, 1948 to the late Elizabeth Barber Shepherd and Carl Shepherd. He departed this life November 15, 2013.
He was a graduate of Atkins High School, Class of 1967, a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Stroh's Brewery after 27 years. Carl was a faithful mentor and volunteer coach for Pop Warner Football.
Carl will truly be missed by his wife Renee Stewart Shepherd; son, Carl Lee Shepherd, Jr.; two brothers, Michael Shepherd (Shirley) and Waddell Shepherd (Melissa); a host of nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Harold Pearson.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Friday at the Chapel.
