Carl Michael Davis, 64, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away on February 17, 2023, after a brave and extended battle with cancer. He was born in Burlington, North Carolina, to Caroll and Alma Davis.

Carl graduated from Dudley High School in 1976, and from the University of South Carolina. Before his retirement, he worked for United Healthcare and Lowe's. He was an avid reader and lover of Jazz music.

He is survived by his parents, Caroll and Alma Davis; a devoted wife of 36 years, Doris Davis; a daughter Ashley "Alex" Hedgepeth (Michael), and a son Michael Davis; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Perry, and a brother-in-law, Ted Jackson (Sherrie). Carl has two grandchildren that he adored, Ava Davis and Ezra Hedgepeth, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 12noon Saturday, February 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church-Highland Ave.
