Mr. Carl Lewis Howell, 73, of Jordan Dr. passed away March 8, 2010 at the home of his son, Keith Howell. He was born July 9, 1936 to the late Estelle and Will Howell.
He retired from RJ Reynolds after 27 years of service and was a volunteer with Belview Senior Citizens Services.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters and a son, Sharon (Randall) Barker, Carla (Fernell) Black, and Keith Howell (Bonnie Hickman) of the home; wife, Beulah Howell; five grandchildren, Brooklyn (Ameer) Watkins, Jonathan Fulp, Jennifer Fulp, Brandon Howell, and Briana Howell; three great- grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Jackie) Howell of Bahama, NC, George (Virginia) Howell and Willie Howell, both of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Mary Lindsay of Winston-Salem, NC and Rachel (Earl) Larry of Yonkers, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12Noon Saturday, March 13, 2010 at First Waughtown Baptist Church, 838 Moravia St. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12Noon on Saturday at the church.
