Candace Andrea Braddy was born February 7, 1979 to Michael and Donna Braddy. She departed this life March 21, 2019 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was the younger of two children. Candace affectionately known as "Candy," attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and graduated from North Forsyth High School. She also attended Forsyth Technical Community College and studied Cosmetology. In later years, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Candace worked a variety of places during her healthcare career, some to include Cone Health, Novant Health, Baptist Hospital, and Arbor Acres. Candy loved children and loved her church! She was a member of Macedonia Worship Center where she grew up. And as an adult she became a member of Christ Healing and Deliverance Church in Greensboro, NC where she was an active member of the praise team, usher board, and Sunday school team. Candy loved children and was protective of her children, Chris and Najelaya.

She was preceded in death by her two grandmothers; grandfather; two uncles; and an aunt.

She is survived by her children Christopher and Najelaya Braddy of the home; her parents, Michael and Donna Braddy also of the home; her older brother Craig (Katrina James) Braddy of Winston-Salem, NC; her nieces and nephews, Tyasia Williams, Justin Braddy, Alexis James, and Terrell Walker also of the city; god sisters, Velma Hairston and Alexina Hairston; her great uncle, Charles Braddy ; great aunt, Diley Braddy of Winston-Salem, NC; five uncles, John (Dorothy) Taylor, Jessie Taylor (Vera-deceased), Frank (Stephanie) Taylor, Joe Braddy, and Terry (Cheryl) Taylor; two aunts, Lucille Fair and Cheryl Stewart all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.
